Terran Empire - A repressive interstellar government dominated by the Terrans from Earth, and is the mirror counterpart of the United Federation of Planets. Sometime between 2270-2370, Earth was attacked and incinerated by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. Consequently the Empire fell to the overwhelming Alliance forces. Humanity was forced to beg and plead for it's life and became scattered around the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Finding refuge with races which the Empire once dominated, the human spirit grew stronger. "Old dreams die hard." Reality would soon set in, the Terrans had lost their home but not their drive and will to survive. By 2371, voices were echoing across distant planets, a revolution, an uprising; the Terrans were making plans to retake their fallen Empire. Where once ruling with an iron fist had cost them everything, the promise of peace would lead them back to power. Under the oppressive Alliance, the peoples of nearly every world where pushing down the doors to governmental halls and making their leaders listen. In 2372, the Rebellion claimed Terok Nor and would name it as their first base of operations. Schematics for several starships soon surfaced mysteriously. A fleet yard was constructed on Bajor and defended by Terok Nor. In 2388, the Alliance turned his aggression on the Romulan Star Empire, who bordered Klingon space. The Romulan Star Empire, having been forced out of its hiding and confronted by the Alliance, came to the Terrans in-search of help. The Romulan's passive nature, made them easy to prey on, but with the Terrans joining the fight; the Alliance was unable to claim territory and hold it long enough to make a difference. The two Empires would later form a coalition. Working together to combat the Alliance, the Imperial Coalition became a powerful military force and soon was slowly pushing back their oppressors. By 2391, the coalition had continued to evolve and had reclaimed many of the previous Empire's fallen territories. With advanced technology and recruitment of soldiers on the rise, the coalition shifted it's focus from offense back to defense. Command of the coalition forces had previously been based on Romulus, but soon would be shifted to fortified locations throughout Imperial controlled space. "You can't strike at the heart of a beast, which does not have one." Terok Nor has become one of the more infamous command posts. Commanded by a human only known as The Lord Marshall.

Romulan-Terran Coalition - A coalition force formed in the late 24th Century, to combat the growing advances of the Alliance. Romulan's and Terran's share technology, and have a mutual dependence of one another.

Klingon-Cardassian Alliance -
An aggressive and dominate power, formed in the mid 24th Century. Both races which make up the Alliance, have sworn to obliterate the Romulan and Terran races.
